Can I use the feeder to scan multiple 2-sided documents?

I often have to scan multiple pages, sometimes the document is two-sided.  Until now, I have been scanning and saving one page at a time.  Is there a way to scan a multi-page document and save it as one file?  Is there a way to save a two-sided document and save it as one file?

Details / Additional Information

True - this series of printer only supports automatic single-sided scan.

Scan Type

Flatbed, 1-sided ADF

If you have not done so,

install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software

Restart the computer and log in

Open HP Scan - part of the full driver software -

Set the options in the main menu and the sub-menus in More >

Load the document into the ADF -

When ready, Scan the first sides > Reload the document stack in the ADF as instructed by HP Scan

Scan the next sides - HP Scan will reorder the document pages for you

HP OfficeJet Pro 8130 series EasyStart Printer Setup Software - Offline Use Only 

When asked, opt for the Full Driver / Full Software to be installed.

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

Example - HP Scan - Menu  options - More > Destination and File Type (single / multiple page document(s))

(Multiple page document = Uncheck "Separate File for each scanned page"

NOTE:  Model and Operating System version Dependent

Note:  HPUSS can be installed as standalone or installed after the full feature printer software.

 HP Universal Scan Full Feature Software might add OCR libraries to installed HP Scan software. 

HPUSS installs a new, full featured, (and separate) HP Scan software shortcut to the Desktop.

Reference: Open  HP Universal Scan Full Feature Software  > If needful, Choose a different OS > Open all > Find / Download / Save / Install HP Universal Scan – Full Feature Software and Driver Webpack.

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in. 

HP Universal Scan Software provides a larger GUI to make using the software easier on high-resolution screens.   New features have been added to the main menu to help with navigating the settings.
