@Lunnyx,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

I'm sure you mean an HP ProDesk 600 G2 MT.

And yes, an i7-6700K is perfectly compatible with this desktop, as can be seen with this User: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/67319408.

Hope this was helpful.

Thx, i just need some help on the ram that i should buy too. Should i buy like ram with a freq of 2133 or can i take 3200 Hz ? If i can't turn on XMP in BIOS it's useless for me to take more than the motherboard can support. Idk how much the motherboard max Freq is, can you help me on that.

@Lunnyx,

Your HP ProDesk 600 G2 MT can be fitted with up to 4 x 16GB of DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, DIMM (UDIMM), 288-pin RAM sticks (though you likely wouldn't need that much RAM), which will 'bridge' (down throttle) to 2133 MHz. That is as fast as your RAM will run. Make a long story short, no, you should not try to run 3200 MHz RAM in your desktop, and no, you cannot manipulate RAM speed in your PC.

I would recommend either 4 x 8GB or 2 x 16GB RAM.  Probably the latter.

Stick with the aforementioned 2400 MHz or DDR4 PC4-17000, 2133 MHz RAM sticks.

It is recommended to use identical RAM (same brand, model and capacity) for best RAM performance.

Some quality/affordable RAM purchase options via Amazon-France:

1.) Dual rank (2Rx8) 2 x 16GB 2133 MHz RAM kit: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0742QWTTB/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?pd_rd_i=B07D3FHQXK&pd_rd_w=qAaOq&content-id....

2.) Dual rank (2Rx8) 2 x 16GB 2400 MHz RAM kit: https://www.amazon.fr/Timetec-2400MHz-PC4-19200-Unbuffered-Computer/dp/B072R2X7CQ/ref=sr_1_5?__mk_fr....

You get the idea.
