I AM TRYING TO DELETE THIS DESKTOP ( FROM HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT) AS IT NO LONGER WORKS. HOWEVER, PER THE INSTRUCTIONS SAYS TO CLICK PENCIL & EDIT DEVICE INFO EXCEPT THAT DOESN'T SHOW UP. WHAT SHOWS IS A BOX WITH MY DESKTOP TYPED IN IT.( WHICH IS THE DEVICE NAME) UNDER THAT IS CANCEL OR SAVE ( SAVE IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED)

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
On the version of the HP Assistant I have (Version: 9.17.31.0), it requires me to sign into my account. Once I've signed in, I can then click on my Icon (Top right corner of the screen) and then select "View Profile".
The next screen shows all the devices I have that are being monitored. Each one has an " X " on the right side. Clicking this X will delete the device from the program.
HTH!
