HP Z240 Tower Base Model Workstation

Hello!
I recently bought a Xeon E5-2697 v2 after watching some youtube videos... The problem is that i read Z240 instead of Z420.

I would like to know if the xeon i bought is compatible with my workstation or should I resell it as soon as it arrives 😄
THANK YOU 😄

That xeon is socket FCLGA2011 and your z240 uses socket FCLGA1151

those are not compatible, sorry.

FWIW I have done the same!
