What model of printer?

Saying you have done everything is not useful. If you say that I have to assume there is no way to help you. What exactly have you done to try and resolve the issue? Do you have error codes?

my Officejet pro 8100 was working fine. I ran out of black ink. I installed a new HP 950xl cartridge. It did not show full black ink and I got an ink sensor warning. I researched that and the correction was remove cart, clean contacts with link free cloth. After doing that several times, it finally showed full ink. But now I have a printer failure message that wont go away. I have restarted my computer several times, run all the HP diagnostics, reset the printer per HP, uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it several times. Still printer failure. I'd rather not buy another $68  950xl unless I know that is the problem.
