Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W Color Laser Printer
Product: Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W Color Laser Printer

I have a Samsung SL-C1810W color laser printer. One day I started getting paper jam error. I searched path for any paper remnants but couldn't find any. I replaced the paper with fresh paper, no joy. I shut down the printer and unplugged it for a couple of minutes, no joy. I changed to 8 1/2 x 14", no joy. I looked for any mechanical problems with paper tray and paper path, no joy. The one thing I did notice during printing cycle, The printer tray (when inserting) would raise up to two white arms that the tray rest on. I watched from underneath those arms during printing cycle, they did not release to allow the paper tray to raise up. I'm not sure if there is a mechanical or firmware sequence that's not happening.

I do not have one of these in front of me, but typically with this design the inner lift is triggered when the tray is inserted and does not drop again until you remove the tray. There should be a spring underneath that assists the lift mechanism. Can you post any pictures?
