It it does not start working immediately, then you will need to reset the printer to get it out of WiFi mode.

 

Please provide the Product ID or Model name of printer for better assistance.

According to page 68 of the users manual, all you need to do for windows is to connect it with a USB cable.

 

If you are required to have an instant ink account then I suspect the computer will be checking for the account instead of the printer.

 

If the problem is the WiFi maybe I can help you with the network setup.

thank you.  Have tried to reset, no result.  I appreciate you effort, can't get it setup for wifi (not desired) or usb.  I can print a test page but beyond that I am dead.
