Hi @Doodle61,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If you're receiving a "password incorrect" message while trying to connect your HP ENVY 6455e printer to a network, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Double-check the Password: Ensure that you're entering the correct Wi-Fi password for your network. Passwords are case-sensitive, so make sure the caps lock is off if your password contains lowercase letters.

Restart Printer and Router: Turn off your printer and the wireless router. Wait for a few seconds and then turn them back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings or network settings.
  • Look for an option to reset network settings or restore network defaults.
  • Select this option and confirm to reset the printer's network settings.
  • After resetting, try connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network again.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. If so, download and install the updates following the instructions provided. Click here

Reconfigure Wireless Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings or network settings.
  • Select the option to set up a new wireless connection.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

Check Router Settings: Ensure that your router is configured to allow connections from your printer. Some routers have security settings that may block new devices from connecting.

Disable MAC Address Filtering: If your router is using MAC address filtering, temporarily disable it to see if the printer can connect. You can re-enable it after the printer is connected.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the printer's wireless hardware. In that case, you may need to contact HP support for further assistance or consider using a wired connection if possible.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
