I received a nice printer from a company that stopped their business, but the menu states "protected".

How can I change the "protected" status to full access of the HP Color Laserjet CP2025dn?

Serial No. [personal information removed]

Product No. CB495A

Manufactured: January, 2010

Try cold reset printer maybe reset will help.

Turn printer OFF, press and hold both right arrow key and cancel key, turn printer OK, keep 2 buttons pressed till you see Permanent storage initialization message appears on the front panel.

Release buttons and the printer is reset.
