I have HP Deskjet Printer/Scanner HP 3050.

Placed genuine HP Black cartridge in. I do not want the color cartridge to be used as all of my printing is in Black.

Previously using single Black cartridge has worked.

However, all of a sudden it gives me an error: Tri-color cartridge in wrong slot.

The Black cartridge ONLY fits in my right side of the two Printer Ink slots. I have kept the left one empty for the colored cartridge.

How can I resolve this issue?

Please help. Urgent support is needed.

Appreciate the time.

My above issue is resolved. After the Black cartridge installation, I needed to restart the printer!

The printer is functioning without any error messages.

Thank you none the less.
