Firmware update caused loss of Youtube audio

(1) Enter BIOS

How to open the BIOS on your HP computer | @HPSupport

(2) Make sure that the following options are checked

Advanced -> Build-In Device Options

[x] Audio Device

[x] Integrated Microphone

[x] Internal Speakers

[x] Headphone Output

(3) Exit BIOS

Main -> Save Changes and Exit

(4) Please report back

Hello:  the HP Setup Utility does not have these options, no Advanced to lead to the other options.  Sorry.  Best regards

Hello: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI 8.9.0.0 Rev.A was successfully installed.  Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (at startup) the Audio Playback and Microphone Record tests were successful.  Through Google and Youtube there was no audio from the video Test Your HP Computer Hardware Using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI | HP Computers | @HPSupport.  Just to check through Microsoft Edge and Youtube there is audio from the same video Best regards

Try These Fixes When Your Sound Is Not Working In Chrome

Hello and EUREKA:  We have Youtube audio through Google Chrome. I did the following

Google Chrome à Settings à Privacy and Security à Customized Behaviors à in the Sites Allow to Play Sound category is https://www.youtube.com/443 .  Select the Play Caret.  Scroll through the multiple Permissions until you find Sound.  Changed Sound from Mute to Sound  and there now is Youtube audio through Google Chrome.  You solved the problem and this problem can be closed as resolved.  Thank you and Best regards
