HP Recommended

I bought this printer from someone and its been a nightmare to use and set up. It won't let me add my printer to anything since the printer is linked to her insta ink. And now my printer won't print at all it says about insta ink it did print before I tried just using the black ink. It also doesn't let me scan anything it says the scanner is in use. Its been a real nightmare! Please help!
