Microsoft Windows 11

On opening the gaming hub, all seems fine until I select my laptop ID from the menu on the left hand side. On doing so it will load up and display the system vitals but then display an error message as pictured below. Upon clicking okay the hub shuts itself down.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software from Microsoft store but still get the same message

Hi @FredtheSpider,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're encountering a frustrating issue with the Omen Gaming Hub crashing when you try to view system vitals. Let's troubleshoot this step by step:

Check for Updates: Ensure that both your Omen Gaming Hub and your laptop's drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues.

Compatibility Mode: Try running the Omen Gaming Hub in compatibility mode. Right-click on the shortcut or executable file, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and try running it in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.

Administrative Privileges: Make sure you're running the Omen Gaming Hub with administrative privileges. Right-click on the shortcut or executable file, and select "Run as administrator."

Check Event Viewer: Sometimes, the Event Viewer in Windows can provide more detailed error information. Open Event Viewer (you can search for it in the Start menu), and look for any error messages related to the Omen Gaming Hub.

Driver Updates: Ensure that all your laptop's drivers are updated, especially graphics and chipset drivers. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause conflicts with software applications.

Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot of your system to check if any third-party applications or services are causing conflicts with the Omen Gaming Hub. You can do this by typing "msconfig" in the Windows search bar, going to the "Services" tab, checking "Hide all Microsoft services," and then disabling all other services. Similarly, go to the "Startup" tab and disable all startup items. Restart your computer and try launching the Omen Gaming Hub again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
