HI @Evelab,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the CapsLock key on your OMEN 17.3 Inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-Ck0000, specifically while playing games like PUBG. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Update Keyboard Drivers:

  • Go to the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows Start menu).
  • Expand the "Keyboards" section, right-click on your keyboard, and select "Update driver". Follow the prompts to check for and install any updates.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Sometimes, issues can be resolved with a system update. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click on "Check for updates".

Test the Keyboard in Other Applications:

  • Verify if the CapsLock key behaves similarly in other applications or when typing in a text editor. This can help determine if the issue is specific to gaming or if it's a broader hardware issue.

Adjust Keyboard Settings in Windows:

  • Navigate to Settings > Time & Language > Keyboard. Explore here for any settings that might affect how the keys work. Turn off "Sticky Keys" or other accessibility features to see if they are interfering.

Check Game Settings and Key Bindings:

  • Sometimes, game settings or specific key bindings can interfere with normal keyboard operations. Check the settings within PUBG to make sure no special actions are assigned to the CapsLock key.

Hardware Test:

  • Consider testing the keyboard with an external keyboard if possible. If the external keyboard does not show the same issue, it might suggest a hardware problem with the laptop’s keyboard.

Contact HP Support:

  • If the issue persists, reaching out to HP Customer Support for further assistance might be necessary. They can provide more detailed guidance and, if needed, service options if it's determined to be a hardware fault.

Restore or Reset the System:

  • As a last resort, you can try restoring Windows to a previous point before the issue started, or even reset Windows. However, back up all important data before doing so as this can result in data loss.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
