Laptops sold with only S mode are cheaper because of the severe limitations that S mode places on them.

If you are not able to get out of S mode, then you either need to live with the limitations or return it and pay more for a laptop with more features.

See this link for how to switch out of S-Mode.

Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

Your other option other than returning your notebook (which you may not be able to) and buying a new one would be to clean install Windows 10 or Windows 11 (whichever your notebook came with), and you will get the full version of Windows.

I have a HP Stream Pro 11 G4 EE that came with W10 Pro education edition in S-Mode and I clean installed W10 and got the full version of W10 Pro and can install any programs I want on my PC.
