HP Z240 Small Form Factor Workstation (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently tried upgrading my BIOS for my HP Z240 SSF Workstation and received the following error message:

The system could not find one of the BIOS Update binary files. Please make sure the correct BIN file

is located on the system hard drive or on removable USB Key under the "Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\New" folder

or under the "EFI\HP\BIOS\New" folder.

or under the "EFI\HP\BIOS\Previous" folder.

Can someone please suggest how to update the BIOS if possible at this point.

Also I do have a different video graphics card than the one it originally came with, just incase it matters to the issue it is the Nvidia Quadro K1200.

Thank you in advance.

Hello.

The NVidia card does not matter. You are free to use any peripheral hardware devices on your computer as long as they adhere to the industry standards and are compatible with your computer. That means practically any PCIe card, storage drives, memory modules and so on.

Your EFI drive may be full which is the reason for the failed update. Please see my earlier post about this some time ago.
