What's New

This maintenance release of Poly Studio P15, Poly Studio R30, and Poly Studio USB software includes important fixes from previous releases and key improvements around provisioning.

This release also includes the following updates:

  • Provides backward compatibility to USB video device class (UVC) 1.1 to enable provisioning with older model displays

  • Extends invert video and anti-flicker configuration settings in the export file to enable provisioning

  • Enables bulk deployment of Poly Studio R30 via provisioning over Wi-Fi on a secured network through a primary config.xml file that you can import via USB to each new unit from an out-of-box state

Backward compatibility to USB UVC

This release makes Poly Studio R30 backward compatible with video device class (UVC) 1.1 to support provisioning with older model displays.

Extended configuration settings in export file

In this release, configuration settings in the Poly Lens export.xml file are extended to include invert video, anti-flicker, Wi-Fi settings, and certificates. This update enables provisioning on the Poly Studio R30 and Poly Studio USB.

Batch deployment of Poly Studio R30 through provisioning over Wi-Fi

In this release, you can now batch deploy Poly Studio R30 through provisioning over Wi-Fi on a secured network. Import a primary config.xml file from USB to each new unit from an out-of-box state.

Known issues

Category Issue ID Description Workaround
Lens LENS-18196 Following the out-of-box import process on Poly Studio R30 and Poly Studio USB, Poly Lens Desktop incorrectly returns to the initial out-of-box screen requesting the default password. Import has been successful and the device is correctly set up including Wi-Fi and provisioning. After Poly Lens Desktop returns to the initial out-of-box screen, completely exit and restart Poly Lens Desktop. The out-of-box screen doesn’t display for devices that successfully completed the import process.
Video EN-243919 Poly Acoustic Fence doesn't work correctly on Poly Studio P15 when the device is in inverted mode, with Acoustic Fence set to Camera-View camera, and the field of view is off-center. In these conditions, the Acoustic Fence doesn’t accurately block audio outside the off-center camera view. None.
Video EN-231955 Windows Update immediately pushes a firmware update to the device. This might happen during normal business hours, even during a call, if you set Windows Update settings incorrectly. If you remove power before the update is complete, the device stays in Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode permanently. Wait at least 2 minutes until the LED stops flashing amber and returns to white. This indicates the Device Firmware Update (DFU) is complete.
