Plantronics Voyager UC Focus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Team,

I have a brand new Plantronics Voyager UC Focus headset that was handed over to me recently. I usually connect using the dongle that came with the headset.

The problem is whenever I am in office the audio quality is poor and believe there is some sort of frequency overlap causing interruption, where I can barely hear anything at all.  This issue happens on all collaboration tools, streaming videos or site..etc. I have got the headset tried on my colleagues Laptop and still the same, the IT team had upgraded the Firmware of the device. However still no luck. All my peers are using the older models.

However when I am working from home, I don't have audio problems and the same headset mostly works well. I had a previous model that BT600 which I have never faced any issues while working from office.

I have tried connecting to Bluetooth and have also followed the troubleshooting steps but no luck. IT team have played around with the settings, resetting the headset, upgrading the firmware..etc but no luck.

I have to avoid going to office, since when I am in office have to go hands free or to meeting rooms and causing greater inconvenience.

Is anyone else able to guide me thru on what could be the possible problem and how to fix this problem?

Hello, @ArunKC, and welcome to the HP Poly community.

I am sorry to hear that you are facing issues with the Poly Voyager Focus UC.

Could you please follow a few troubleshooting steps mentioned below and let us know if the issue persists?

1. Could you please try it with a different mobile phone or a PC?
2. Could you please restore the headset settings to default on the Poly Lens application by connecting the headset to the PC? Once done, please switch off and switch on the headset again to save the changes made.
3. Could you please confirm if the provided USB dongle is connected to the PC?
4. Could you please reset the sensors?
Reset sensors:
You may need to reset the sensors if they are not working as expected.
There are two ways to reset the headset sensors. Choose:
• With your headset powered on, charge your headset on the charge stand for 10 seconds.
• Press and hold both the Mute and Play/Pause buttons for more than 4 seconds until the LEDs flash purple twice, being careful not to touch the ear cup padding or allow it to come into contact with the surface.
5. Please check for any firmware updates on the Poly Lens application by connecting the headset to the PC and updating if there are any.

Regards,
Meghana
