Polycom CX500
Microsoft Windows 11

My company had some CX500 which they were giving away due to upgrade to a newer device.  I wanted to see if its usable from home and if it can be used with Microsoft Teams?

I have researched little bit, and the documentation said that it has built in lync client.  Can i upgrade this to Microsoft Teams client? and can it connect to our Teams account in Office 365 from home as well?

I basically want to use the device from my home office.

Thanks

Ali

Hello @_ali_khawaja ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

You have posted in an incorrect section and a volunteer has moved your post. It has been moved to a section more suitable for your request.

Please check the CCX 500 product Page >here<

The above shows that the CCX 500 as the other CCX models supports Microsoft Teams natively. As long as your company uses Microsoft Teams, and allows remote devices to sign into Microsoft Teams you are good to go.

Simply update to the latest 8.1.4 software.

Please be aware I am unable to advise on any other details around Microsoft Teams and any restrictions your company may have placed to prevent the registration. This is something you should discuss with your Company Microsoft Administrator.

Other volunteers may reply as well.

Best Regards
