A customer reported an issue when trying to use newer Poly VVX x50 with the Microsoft SIP Gateway

 

Newer Poly VVX 250, VVX 350 and VVX 450 manufactured from June 2022 onwards come with Poly UC Software 6.4.3.5059 pre-installed. This is explained >here< in the Engineering Advisory 210826

 

Using the Poly phone fails to action the Sign In option as the phone does not display the code as expected but instead displays an error message stating SSL/TLS handshake failed

This is due a software issue in 6.4.3 due to the minimum TLS version

 

To fix this please change this manually on the individual phone via changing Settings > Network > TLS > TLS Applications and set the Web Service to SSL v2/v3 instead of TLS 1.2
