When scanning using ADF only one page will load for scan, ignoring the next pages.  This option was previously working, and has recently stopped working without any changes to setting. How do I ensure that all pages are scanned when fed into ADF for HP 9019 All-In-One Printer

Hi @DrTomB,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9019 All-In-One Printer was previously able to scan multiple pages using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) but has suddenly stopped working, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues with the printer's software or firmware. Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Check ADF for Obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions, such as paper jams or debris, in the Automatic Document Feeder. Even small pieces of paper or dust can interfere with the scanning process.
  • Clean the ADF Rollers: Dirty or worn-out rollers can also cause scanning problems. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the rollers. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to access and clean the ADF rollers.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Manufacturers often release firmware updates to fix bugs and improve performance. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website.
  • Check Scanning Settings: Verify that the scanning settings are configured correctly. Ensure that the scan mode is set to "Document Feeder" or "ADF" instead of "Flatbed" or "Platen." You can usually adjust scanning settings through the printer's control panel or software interface on your computer.
  • Reinstall Printer Software: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try reinstalling the printer software on your computer. Sometimes, corrupted software installations can cause scanning problems. Uninstall the existing printer software, restart your computer, and then reinstall the latest version of the software from the HP website.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9019 All-In-One Printer not scanning multiple pages through the ADF.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
