Hi @nimaltd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

Before buying a new cartridge for your HP 6232 printer, you can perform a few checks to ensure that the printer is working properly:

Power On the Printer: Make sure the printer is turned on. Check if the power light is illuminated.

Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer's display panel for any error messages or warnings. If there are any, note them down and refer to the printer's manual for troubleshooting steps.

Print a Test Page:

  • Load plain paper into the input tray.
  • On the printer's control panel, locate the option to print a test page. This option is usually found in the printer's settings or tools menu.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to print the test page.
  • Check the test page for print quality and any issues such as smudging, streaks, or faded text.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Use the printer's control panel or software on your computer to check the ink levels.
  • If the ink levels are low, the printer may not be able to print properly even with a new cartridge.

Connectivity Check:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network, depending on how you plan to use it.
  • If using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

Software Updates:

  • Check if there are any software updates available for your printer. Updating the printer's software can sometimes resolve issues and improve performance.

Performing these checks should give you an idea of the printer's current status and whether it is working properly. If you encounter any issues during these checks, keep us posted.
