HP Laserjet 4200 series printer--purchased new HP computer, can't download the driver needed to print from USB port.  My printer serial number isn't recognized in the download process.

Are you talking about 123.hp.com for automatic install? If so, it is highly unlikely that printer will be supported. Your best option is to download the USB complaint HP Universal Printer Driver and install that. Install the driver first and then connect the printer to the computer.

Yes, I had tried to use 123.hp.com but was unsuccessful.  Finally I tried another USB port for the printer on the new computer, went to settings and the HP 4200 finally came up as found in printer devices.  Chose it as the default printer and it was connected and am able to use it now.  Thanks for your input.
