Hi @LMO5,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 4155e printer is only printing a test page and nothing else, there could be several reasons behind this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Ink or Toner Levels: Ensure that your ink or toner cartridges have sufficient ink or toner to print. Low ink or toner levels can prevent printing.
  • Paper Jam: Check for any paper jams inside the printer. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause printing issues. Open the printer cover and carefully remove any stuck paper.
  • Printer Offline: Make sure your printer is set to "Online" mode. Sometimes, printers can go offline due to connection issues or other reasons. You can check the printer status on your computer or printer control panel.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve various printing issues.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can cause printing problems. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Check Print Queue: There might be pending print jobs in the print queue. Open the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs. Then try printing again.
  • Reset Printer: You can try resetting your printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to reset your specific model.
  • Connection Issues: Verify that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you're using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your computer.
  • Printer Settings: Check the printer settings to ensure that the correct paper size, paper type, and other settings are selected for your print job.
  • Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with your printer.

Try these steps one by one and see if they help resolve the printing issue with your HP 4155e printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
