Hi @ljm44 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering an error message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer indicating a printhead problem with event code 62.80.13. This error code usually indicates an issue with the printhead assembly or the printer's internal sensors detecting a problem with the printhead.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Obstructions: Open the printer cover and check for any obstructions, such as debris or paper jams, that may be interfering with the movement of the printhead.
  • Inspect the Printhead: Ensure that the printhead is properly installed and seated in its carriage. If there are any visible signs of damage or if it appears to be misaligned, you may need to replace the printhead.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, firmware updates contain fixes for known issues and may resolve the problem you're experiencing. HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer
  • Clean Printhead Contacts: Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and in the carriage. Make sure the contacts are dry before reinstalling the printhead.
