White screen light

If a laptop is giving white light even if I shut down . I saw a solution to drain the battery and if it happens against the. There is no problem. However my question is how do you get rid of that light to just feel safe . I use my laptop a lot and sometimes I sleep and leave it running. Im afraid I might have killed it.

Thank you, it seems the problem has stopped . There is no white anymore

Hello again. I thought my white problem was fixed but it is still occurring. I usually see it when in the dark that's when I can see a white light on my screen at the right corner sometimes. My laptop is an HP EliteBook 840 G3  , windows 10 Pro. It usually does this when I switch off , hibernate, sleep or when it sleeps on it's own because of inactivity.
