Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hello! I got my HP laptop under a year ago and have had no problems up until about 2 months ago when I got a new mouse and keyboard. At first once I plugged them in, my laptop would not charge at all. After a while it did start charging, however ever since there it has lagged when charging when doing anything even just web surfing. I have tried all the tricks: changing power mode, resetting, changing advanced power options, changing the processor state options. Yet nothing seems to work. Please can you help me figure out what is wrong as it is annoying.

You mentioned new mouse and keyboard -- so are these external?  If so, are they wired or wireless? If wireless, are they WiFi or BlueTooth (BT)?
