Does anyone know if my laptop has a second ssd slot and if so, can i just put any ssd in there? If it does not have a second slot, which ssd i should buy to upgrade my current 500 gb one?

According to chapter 5, page 34 of the service manual, the model series has support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

However, before buying another NVMe SSD I recommend you remove the bottom cover and make sure that there is a second slot because the manuals have been known to be incorrect from time to time.

 

I cannot find any discussions where anyone has actually taken the notebook apart and installed a second drive.

 

This is the only other discussion I could find regarding installing another drive.
