Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

Last night I was using my PC as usual for gaming and music. I shut it down and went to try to use it on the next day and it just stays on the HP screen. No spinning wheel, just HP screen.

if I press any keys, the screen goes black. If I turn it off and back on while pressing esc it goes to the normal screen, but when I try to press ESC to get to booting menu it doesn’t do anything. I tried cleaning RAM and clearing CMOS, I don’t know what else to do. Can anyone help?

Did it get unusually hot while gaming or streaming music?

What do you mean by "normal screen" ?

The Pc never got hot, it always stayed at a normal temperature. When I say normal screen is the screen is goes to when we spam ESC while booting up. It was actually performing very well the night before. I did not do anything out of the norm which is why i’m so confused

I don't know what you mean by spamming Esc.  Does a text screen show with Esc at the bottom left when you boot? And if you wait a while, that screen goes away and the Windows login screen appears?

I was asking about the heat because folks have reported their laptops overheating when Streaming or Gaming -- and if it overheats too much, that can cause a Thermal Crash which, if bad enough, can burn out the CPU chip.

Yeah, i have a desktop and I have a performance monitor at all times. I never noticed it overheating.

while booting up, if I repeatedly press esc a black screen with white text menu pops up. The text says the specs of the build and says press esc for startup menu. But nothing happens. I tried replacing the RAM, clearing cmos, removing all USB and external devices connected to the PC but nothing helps. I also tried pressing windows + B and the computer beeped, but nothing changed.

Sorry, don't know what else to tell you.
