Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Hello,

 

I have recently purchased an HP E24m FHD display monitor and connected it with my Macbook Pro (M1 Chip) via USB C type (HOTRON E246588 AWM STYLE 20276 VW-1 30V FT1 USB3.1).

I have noticed that by default, the microphone in the monitor is always mute and to turn it on I have to pull the mechanical camera and then use the microphone in the monitor.

My Macbook settings are set to HP monitor microphone for input and output.

I would like to know if this is the default behavior.

 

Note: My MacOS is macOS Sonoma Version 14.4.1, not available in the list.
