Hi @TRP36,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering issues printing from your Android phone to your HP ENVY 5530 printer, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Printer Connectivity: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android phone. If not, connect it to the same network.
  • Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting both your printer and your Android phone can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP ENVY 5530 printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
  • Update Printer App: If you're using an app to print from your Android phone, make sure it's up to date. Update the app from the Google Play Store if necessary.
  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that your printer is set to "Online" or "Available" mode. You can check this in the printer settings menu.
  • Check PDF Compatibility: Make sure the PDF file you're trying to print is compatible with your printer. Try printing a different PDF file or a different type of document to see if the issue persists.
  • Reinstall Printer App: If you're using a printer app on your Android phone, try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings: You can try resetting the network settings on your printer and then reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Check Printer Queue: Sometimes, print jobs can get stuck in the printer queue, preventing new jobs from being processed. Check the printer queue on your printer to see if there are any pending jobs that need to be cleared.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with printing from your Android phone to your HP ENVY 5530 printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
