Hi all. I really hope someone can help me with this

A few days ago, my laptop suddenly disabled its keyboard, And I turned it off that day with power And after that, turning on the laptop, this error appeared:

Sometimes it turns on and works, sometimes it turns on and the keyboard does not work, and sometimes the cmos error appears again.

And When I entered the BIOS, the hours were messed up.

Thank you.

Hi @Erfanes,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing multiple issues with your HP laptop, including the keyboard being disabled, inconsistent behavior upon startup, and errors related to the CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) settings. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues.

  • Check Keyboard Connection: Ensure that the keyboard is properly connected to the laptop. If it's a detachable keyboard, try reconnecting it securely.
  • Update BIOS: Visit HP's official website and check if there are any BIOS updates available for your laptop model. Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve compatibility issues and improve system stability.
  • Reset BIOS Settings: If you suspect that the CMOS error is causing issues, you can try resetting the BIOS settings to their default values. This can often be done through the BIOS menu itself. Look for an option like "Load Setup Defaults" or "Reset BIOS Settings".
  • Replace CMOS Battery: If the CMOS battery is old or depleted, it can cause issues with the system clock and BIOS settings. Consider replacing the CMOS battery with a new one. It's usually a small coin-sized battery located on the motherboard.
  • Run Hardware Diagnostics: HP laptops often come with built-in hardware diagnostic tools. You can access these tools by pressing a specific key combination during startup (usually F2 or ESC). Run the diagnostics to check for any hardware failures.
  • Check for Software Issues: Sometimes, software conflicts or driver issues can cause erratic behavior. Make sure your operating system and drivers are up to date. You can also try uninstalling any recently installed software or drivers to see if that resolves the issue.

Remember to back up any important data before performing any major troubleshooting steps or hardware replacements.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I updated the BIOS and reset it, but it had no effect

And this laptop model does not have a cmos battery that I can change.

now I don't know what should I do!
