OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 (7B9S3AV)

Hi everyone

Bios F16 has a bunch of bugs, and my laptops screen was turned off during the games and after graphic driver's upgrade. In addition, the laptops keyboard did not respond even I was not able to turn it off.

I think HP did not release F16 bios for these devices. And Microsoft has made a mistake, since HP didn't release any update after F15 for this laptop. Some regions may not have problem with this Microsoft update. My laptop region is China.

I fixed my problem with downgrading my laptop bios and prevent Microsoft windows automatic driver upgrade by hid this update with this app https://web.archive.org/web/20190208013517if_/http://download.microsoft.com:80/download/f/2/2/f22d5f...

(If you are not able to see the update for hiding, uninstall system firmware in device manager, and then scan for new drivers after that try again)

I should say that I have problem to turn on my laptop after black screen. I removed its battery socket and then used CLRP 1, 2, and 3 jumpers. someone who had same problem told me by removing one of the rams it works. but it didn't for me. after turning laptop on, w8 about 2 to 5 minutes then the screen will appear. Go to windows and downgrade.

Thank Microsoft and thank HP for making us happy

Hi again,

After a while the black screen occurred again.

I managed to find the problem. Lid sensor (hull sensor) was defective. I disconnected its flat cable, and then everything came back to normal.
