HP X24i Gaming Monitor

I was recently playing when out of no where my monitor showed up with lines and bugging out. I reinstalled drivers and changed HDMI cables and while it worked for a bit, the issue came back. Any suggestions?

Hi @kikéxeno,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already taken some good troubleshooting steps by reinstalling drivers and changing HDMI cables. Since the issue returned, it could be related to the monitor itself or possibly the graphics card.

Here are a few additional steps you could try.

  • Check for Overheating: Make sure the monitor isn't overheating. Ensure there's proper ventilation around it and that it's not placed near a heat source.
  • Test with Different Ports: If your monitor has multiple HDMI ports, try switching to a different port to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem lies with a specific port.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your monitor. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve issues related to display anomalies.
  • Try a Different Device: If possible, connect the monitor to a different device, such as a laptop or another computer, to see if the issue occurs with that device as well. This can help determine if the problem is with the monitor itself or the original device.
  • Reset Monitor Settings: Try resetting the monitor to its factory default settings. There might be some settings causing the issue that can be resolved by resetting.

By systematically trying these steps, you can hopefully identify and resolve the issue with your HP X24i Gaming Monitor.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
