i have a working pavilion all in one 27-xa009  and a not working  27-xa0029  and i want to swap the cpu from the not working one i7  to working one i5 

but i dont know if the cpu i7 from the not working one is damaged 

i want to know if it is safe to do it and if i can do it do i need to swap the power adapter and the heatsink to ?

Nothing has changed regarding the information I provided.

They are the same wattage so everything is a direct swap.

 

As I wrote last month...if you want to move the heat sink you can, if not, it is the same part.

but if the i7 cpu is damaged it will damage the motherboard of the working one?

Did you get a processor error blink code, or is there a reason why you believe the processor is damaged?

I wouldn't take the chance if you think the processor is no good because it would be a waste of time and effort and yes, it could potentially short out the motherboard if the processor is damaged.

because my not working  27-xa0029 doesnt power on so i cant test the i7 cpu

Then I guess you take your chances if you want to swap the CPU.

 

There is probably something else wrong with the PC.

Take it to a PC repair shop and see if they can test it for you.
