HP ProDesk 400 G4 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cloned my desktop 256GB SSD to a 480GB SSD.  The clone works fine, but the system slows down at boot up and displays the "System is booting in Manufacturing Program Mode" error.  I have not found a solution to change this setting.  All I've seen is to send in the machine which is not an option.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks,

Dave

This problem showed up only after the SSD was installed?

I found this video, maybe it will help

Some required info may be found by entering your serial number below

Was the drive you cloned the original drive?   Did it have the original factory software (with all updates of course) ?

You might want to do a factory restore using the  "cloud client"

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp142501-143000/sp142993.exe

install this app on any system you admin rights to.  Once installed, browse to the c:\swsetup folder and run the install. Then bring up the windows key => all apps => hp folder and look for "HP Cloud Recovery"

Use a 32gb flash to create the windows recovery. If necessary, go into the BIOS setup and press F9 or whatever function key is used to set factory default.  Boot the USB and install the recovery.
