Poly 8240
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

We've got a fleet of around 1000 Poly Savi 8240 headsets in our organisation.

Recently we've had more and more users have been complaining of buzzing/static noises when making or receiving calls (non-calls work fine such as playing a youtube video).

We've found a workaround to plug the headset directly into the laptop instead of going through their Dell docks (WD19/WD22). Headsets are fully up to date in the Plantronics Software

I know they are Dell docks so no support offered by Poly but just seeing if anyone has had similar happen and any suggestions on a fix.

Hello, @mahboub, and welcome to the HP Poly community.

I am sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with the Poly Savi 8240 headset.

Please do not connect the headset via any docking station. Kindly pair the headset directly to the PC and let us know if the issue still persists.

Regards,
Meghana

We recently experienced the same issue with an 8240.  This only occurred on a Teams call but does not through a desk phone.  I don't believe a docking station should be causing this issue and the answer below is unacceptable. We replaced the headset including base station and we no longer have issues in Teams.

Thank you so much.
