HP Z2 Mini G9 K series CPUs

I recently got one of these with a K series Intel CPU, 14700k i7

However there is no option to enable XMP in bios

No option to enable overclocking at all in bios either

Intel XTU under Windows 11 says “this platform

does not support overclocking”

Voltage control is completely locked out in XTU, you can’t really do anything at all, you can’t even undervolt 

So…what exactly is the point of selling these computers with Intel K series CPUs if you can’t actually use them the way they were meant to be used? 

Maybe there’s something I am missing here?

just because HP used "K" series cpu's does not mean that they also endorse/support overclocking

no workstation or business model from any major system maker supports overclocking (as you have noticed)

hp may have used them due to their availability/price or whatever reason

you want to overclock? you need to buy a gaming system that specifically supports overclocking or build your own system using a retail motherboard that has this support

It is overclocked… they just lock it to their specs and don’t allow you to change anything.

Also wondering why memory is only running at 5200 MT/s when it should be 5600 (for 14th gen…13th gen is limited to 5200).
